The company was founded in 1821 by James B Terson who with his family built up a personal property empire and a thriving practice here in Castle Street. The last Terson died in the early 1950’s and the firm was continued by the Articled Clerks, taking up a partnership together. The current office premises was given to them and so the business has been in this building uninterrupted since (we think) 1845. By the 1970’s new partners started to join until their own retirement completed in 2002. The current owner undertook to continue the legacy of the firm by remaining a professional “go to” organisation which tells the truth and is not influenced by “targets”. These days the firm retains its sales and lettings departments with long serving loyal staff, but has added a block management too, headed by an RICS Building Surveyor. Our days are filled with helping people, buy sell, rent or just live in their property and when people are nice it is a pleasure to be here for them.
