CMP is vital for tenants and landlords, it ensures that you can claim back money lost in the event the CMP scheme member goes into liquidation or misuses your rent, deposit or other funds. Propertymark’s CMP scheme is approved by the government, giving you peace of mind that any agency displaying the CMP logo is registered to our scheme—and your money is protected.
Don’t worry if your agency doesn’t display this logo, only those handling client money need to belong to a CMP scheme. We ensure all our members have CMP through our own scheme or another suitable provider.
In April 2025, Propertymark enhanced its regulation model and introduced a new green logo—making it easier for consumers to spot a trusted professional. You may still see the older versions (pictured below) on branch windows and websites.
