ARLA Inventories
Before applying we recommend that you review the membership grades to gain an understanding of the entry requirements. Once submitted we aim to process applications within 15 working days.
Student grade
Join us at the student grade if you don't yet have an inventory qualification and six months' practical experience. You will have three years at this grade to get qualified and upgrade your membership so you can use the designatory letters and logo.
Member grade
You must have at least the Level 3 qualification (Level 6 in Scotland) and at least six months' practical experience to become an ARLA Inventories member.
Propertymark Qualifications' Award in Residential Inventory Management and Practice
This qualification is ideal for candidates wanting to gain or improve existing knowledge in the key areas across inventory practice.

How much does membership cost?
The annual membership subscription for both the Member and Student grades is £75.00. Once your membership has been approved, you will be sent an invoice for the fee due—you won’t be charged if for any reason your application is declined. All fees are non-refundable once an application has been approved and paid.
What are the membership rules?
By joining ARLA Inventories you are obliged to comply with our Code of Practice helping us improve standards in the industry.
Can my company join?
ARLA Inventories membership is granted to the individual, not a company. However, if you're an ARLA Inventories Member and the Principal, Partner or Director (PPD) of your company you can apply the logo to your company's website and marketing material.
Is membership monitored?
Yes, If a member is found to be in breach of our code of practice or in the event a complaint is upheld against a member then your membership will be terminated. We reserve the right to ask at any time for copies of inventories prepared by its members.
