Director of Property Science Innovation, Rightmove

Tim is the Director of Property Science Innovation at Rightmove combining data, technology and analytics to develop unique insight and drive property decision making. He is a regular guest on many national news outlets such as the BBC, ITV, Sky News and Bloomberg, discussing the latest data and key factors impacting the property market. Tim previously ran Rightmove’s Lettings and Overseas businesses, and before joining Rightmove in 2010, Tim worked in investment banking and strategy consulting. Tim holds an MBA from the Wharton School, The University of Pennsylvania, USA.

Michael Day

Michael is a well-known figure with over 45 years in the property industry and was a non-executive director and shareholder at teclet (now OntheMarket Software) and is an advisory board member at Blockchain based technology business Coadjute. His 1300 plus client list is a who’s who of the estate agency world and he's also been a judge at many industry awards and is a regular contributor in the written trade media.

In 2020 Michael became a Founder Member of the charitable foundation Agents Together which is focused on helping those in the estate agency industry with healthy minds and healthy businesses.

Timothy Douglas

Head of Policy and Campaigns, Propertymark

Timothy joined Propertymark in July 2015 and leads on the organisation’s policy and campaigns activity across Westminster, the devolved parliaments, and local authorities. He authored Propertymark’s The Future of Renting position paper and wrote Propertymark’s best practice guidance to help agents operate during the pandemic. Timothy also created the policy proposals for the Leasehold: A Life Sentence research report.

Before Propertymark, Timothy worked as a political advisor in Westminster for a former Business Minister and Government Whip and spent a period of time as a Caseworker and Researcher for Members of the European Parliament.

Alex heads up the Disputes and Litigation team at Bright Solicitors. He has experience in a wide range of litigation matters and predominately advises clients on contentious property matters such as commercial and residential landlords and tenants in connection with possession claims, dilapidations, and forfeiture. Alex also advises on matters arising from disputed rights of way, boundary issues together with general commercial property matters.

He worked in agency as both agent and supplier for over 25 years and is passionate about delivering excellent customer service and results. Jason takes pride in development, training and nurturing of all the team and watching them flourish. Multi-award winning in both agency and suppliers’ category from EA Masters, Sunday Times and Negotiator Awards.

James Munro

Head of the National Trading Standards Estate and Letting Agency Team (NTSELAT)

James joined the Trading Standards profession in 1989 and spent many years as an operational Trading Standards Officer—he now leads the National Trading Standards Estate and Letting Agency Team (NTSELAT) and oversees the regulation of estate agency work in the UK and the private rented sector in England.

National Trading Standards works closely with the redress schemes, professional bodies and government, and the team is there to protect consumers and safeguard businesses in the property sector. James is a Chartered Trading Standards Practitioner, a qualified coach and mentor, and  a regular speaker at industry events.

Tim is an NAEA Propertymark Fellow and has been in the residential property industry for over 25 years as an estate agent, letting and managing agent, trainer and consultant. He has worked with both single office independent companies and multi-office organisations throughout the UK.

Tim has contributed to several articles in publications including The Independent and The Financial Times in relation to risk management and residential property in the UK.

Clare has worked in the property industry for nearly 30 years. Starting out as a part-time weekend receptionist, her career has taken her from estate agency to new-build sales, holiday cottages, panel management and B2B sales but she is most well-known as a training consultant.

Clare has worked with some of the largest estate agents and law firms in the country, helping them to generate more business, improve customer care, improve sales progression and cross-sell related services.

This was a really well presented and put together event offering a variety off really useful information. All speakers were really engaging and very knowledgeable in their areas.

All speakers very good and those who had exhibitions up in the 'mingling room'. Propertymark are doing some really good work now and you can see this has been building for a few years, I especially appreciated the comms during the lockdowns and the panic of Covid. The constant communication and info was very good and really helped.
