I’m Georgie Miller, your local residential lettings expert based in sunny Bristol. So you’ve bought a property – probably the biggest investment you’ve ever made and you just want to rent it out to some lovely tenants, and gain a little extra cash to put towards your pension. Perfect plan right? It’s a Friday afternoon, you’ve just packed the car for a camping trip, loaded the kids and the dog and you get a call from your tenant. The recent summer rain has overflowed the drains and there’s sewage in the garden… Camping is put on pause while you ring round to find an emergency drainage specialist. The short notice means it’s going to cost £££ and your relaxing family weekend away is postponed so you can check the work and firefight the situation. To top it off you’ve just received a letter from the council letting you know they’ve started a selective licence scheme and your property now needs a licence… what does that even mean?! It doesn’t have to be this way! I’m here to help.
