What significant energy price cap changes mean for the lettings industry

In a recent announcement from Ofgem, we know the energy price cap will rise again by 4% on the 1st of October. Coming after a year of significant changes in the industry, the latest rise brings a pressing question for letting agents and landlords - is this level of volatility now the new normal?

Energy Efficiency

Our panel will explore where the impact is being felt most, and why some portfolios are harder hit than others. They'll look at how price swings make void period costs harder to budget and forecast, and how agents can manage landlord expectations when costs are hard to predict. The session will also ask whether the current volatility has exposed wider weaknesses in how the industry tracks and manages utility costs.

To finish, the panel will set out what being properly prepared looks like for an agency over the next twelve months, with practical takeaways attendees can act on straight away.
