The Scottish Government’s Tenant Information Pack gives you information about your responsibilities as a tenant and what is expected of your landlord. This pack applies to tenancies created before 1 December 2017. From then on, new Private Residential Tenancies do not have a Tenant Information Pack.
The information pack is not part of a tenancy agreement but sets out important information, including a summary of legislation relevant to private tenants. The pack lays out information clearly and ensures that all tenants in privately rented homes receive the same information.
The Tenant Information Pack has been amended to reflect the change from the Private Rented Housing Panel to the new First-Tier Tribunal Housing and Property Chamber from 1 December 2016.
