"In 1994, Julie Twist recognised the residential potential of a Manchester city centre that was still largely commercial, at the time there were fewer than 600 people living in the city and only two residential developments in existence. While the city’s industrial heritage and cultural identity were well established, its future as the thriving place we know today was only just beginning to emerge. Seeing opportunity and potential in the city Julie founded Julie Twist Properties aged just 23, becoming the first estate agency dedicated exclusively to Manchester’s city-centre residential market. Long before the cranes reshaped the skyline, she was advising early investors, marketing now well-established developments and helping to lay the foundations for what would become one of the UK’s most remarkable urban regeneration success stories.
