Trainer, motivator and mentor
Martyn is a Past President and former NAEA Propertymark board member. His role allowed him to regularly commentate on the housing market in national press and radio. He has been invited to be part of advisory panels with MHCLG around transaction reform and leasehold issues.
Martyn's 20-year career in estate agency has seen him work with various firms within the industry from small independents to national corporations managing everything from cold start offices to acquisitions. His current role is Regional Manager for a seven branch multi-disciplinary agency where he is responsible for the strategy, process, and delivery of the residential sales division.
Founder, Broomham Recruitment
Before working in recruitment Nicola worked for 12 years in estate agency as a lettings director and estate agency consultant. She is passionate about campaigning for change in estate agency with better diversity, inclusion and gender equality. She is a mental health supporter and first aider and mentors several people across the industry.
Nicola is known for her straight talking approach, big hair and as the owner of an award-winning, fast growing recruitment agency that does things ‘the right way’. She is also the presenter of the Broomham Podcast discussing various topics in the industry.
Sally re-joined Larking Gowen in August 2018, having previously been with a national firm of accountants. She is the lead partner in our dedicated Private Client and Trusts team and oversees tax compliance services with a particular focus on tax planning and advisory services.
Sally has over 20 years’ experience and is a Chartered Tax Advisor and a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners.

Maxine is the Managing Director and Founder of Amax Estates based in Gravesend who have been successfully trading for over 20 years. Specialising in lettings, sales and block management, she is very proud of the achievements her firm has gained demonstrated by the 26 industry awards it has achieved.
Maxine originally started in the industry in 1988 and is a member of NAEA Propertymark and ARLA Propertymark, a Fellow of IRPM and a RICS Associate. She is also a trainer of landlords and agents and has successfully trained over 5000 delegates to date.

Having run a UK wide operation for one of the main high street banks, Mark has extensive experience in sales, lettings, auctions and property management. He has worked closely with HM Government helping shape legislation and aiding HMRC and NCA in identifying areas of risk around AML.

Alex has a background in political campaigning and local government. He has extensive experience working with a wide range of stakeholders from across the political spectrum to develop new ways of thinking to reach key goals and objectives.

Liana has over 22 years’ experience working in both large corporate and boutique agencies and enjoys the thrill of sharing in client and buyer journeys. She started her career at the largest real estate company in her native Malta, before re-locating to the UK in what was supposed to be a sabbatical. Her experience in ‘the most vibrant property market in the world’ with one of the leading corporate agencies in London meant she never left.
Head of the National Trading Standards Estate and Letting Agency Team (NTSELAT)
James joined the Trading Standards profession in 1989 and spent many years as an operational Trading Standards Officer—he now leads the National Trading Standards Estate and Letting Agency Team (NTSELAT) and oversees the regulation of estate agency work in the UK and the private rented sector in England.
National Trading Standards works closely with the redress schemes, professional bodies and government, and the team is there to protect consumers and safeguard businesses in the property sector. James is a Chartered Trading Standards Practitioner, a qualified coach and mentor, and a regular speaker at industry events.
