Having worked in my father's estate agency from when I left school at 16 in 1980, I continued briefly with the new owners of the agency when he retired in 1991. After a brief spell working for them, then another company, I opened Haigh & Sons in 1993 and never looked back! In 2009 we moved into bigger premises on the other side of North View, Westbury Park (where we were based), partly because we had, the previous year, opened what proved to be a very successful lettings and management business the previous year. This part of the business was, in fact, so successful, that it threatened to impact on the time we had available to do what we really love: property sales. So we agreed to hand that part of our business away to another husband-and-wife lettings agency after about 9 or 10 years. Since then, we moved again into offices in South Gloucestershire in 2020 (pandemic time), and most recently have started to work from home (and car!) commencing September 2025.
