eLearning: Driving at work

Every week, hundreds of traffic accidents involve people travelling for work. This course will help you avoid the risks associated with driving at work.

With many employees driving regularly, or even daily, it makes sense to consider both their training and the training of the managers who plan their journeys.

Employers have a legal duty under health and safety law to manage the risks faced by their workers on the road. They also have a moral duty of care to protect employees, the general public, and uphold the reputation of their company. A clear driving for work policy, supported by effective and efficient training, is essnetional to improve road safety and reduce risk.

In this course, you will examine the hazards and risks that come with driving for work and the decisions that influence safety. Using the scenario of a fictional company, you’ll take on the perspectives of both employees and their transport manager, weighing up choices and actions designed to reduce risk and improve road safety.
