Could your next tech connection help transform property?

Applications are open for REACH UK’s 2027 program, which supports technology businesses tackling challenges across the property sector. Propertymark’s relationship with REACH goes back to its UK launch in 2020, and we’re encouraging members to share the opportunity with businesses developing tools that could improve how property professionals work.

From making compliance easier to reducing administration and improving property management, REACH UK is looking for technology that addresses real problems and has the potential to grow.

The program connects businesses with property professionals, industry leaders, investors, and potential customers. It also provides access to an international network, helping founders build relationships in the UK and overseas.

Connecting innovation with agents’ needs

Property professionals see first-hand where processes fall short and where technology could help. We want to connect the program with businesses that understand those challenges. Members may already work with a technology supplier, know a founder developing a product or have contacts in another sector whose tools could have a use in property.

Previous participants illustrate the range of challenges technology can address. The 2025 group included businesses working on rent collection, tenant screening, finance for energy efficiency improvements, lettings processes, commercial space planning, water efficiency and waste management.

REACH UK provides an important link between the property industry and businesses developing new technology. We want our members and the wider sector to know about the programme, understand the kind of innovation it is looking for and, where appropriate, help spread the word to businesses that could have something valuable to contribute.

Solving everyday challenges

Artificial intelligence, automation, and data tools are becoming part of everyday agency work. However, useful innovations can also come from businesses outside the property sector, whose technology could be adapted to meet its needs.

REACH UK is seeking companies working across areas including AI and AI readiness, property management and lettings, compliance and risk, energy efficiency, and data analysis. Other areas include customer and tenant experience, digital transactions, property finance, building and asset management, and construction.

The focus is on the problem being solved and the difference the technology could make. This could mean cutting time spent on routine tasks, helping businesses use information more effectively, or improving services for landlords, tenants, and other customers.

Access to a global network

REACH UK is operated by Second Century Ventures, the strategic investment arm of the National Association of REALTORS®. Its wider network connects technology businesses with property professionals, investors, mentors and entrepreneurs across international markets.

That community includes PortCo, Second Century Ventures’ annual portfolio summit, where companies from across the global REACH network can meet, share experience and build relationships.

Share the opportunity

If you are developing technology that could solve a property challenge, or know a business that is, find out more about the REACH UK program and apply for the 2027 programme.

For 2027, we’re looking for ambitious companies solving meaningful challenges across real estate and adjacent industries. That doesn’t necessarily mean traditional PropTech.

Some of the most exciting opportunities come from technologies developed for other sectors that can be applied to real estate to solve real problems, improve how businesses operate and create new value.
