Propertymark is member-led, which means members play a direct role in choosing who represents them at the highest levels of the organisation. By voting, members have chosen who will represent their interests, influence future priorities, and support the continued development of the organisation.
We congratulate the successful candidates and thank every member who took part in the election process. We also extend our gratitude and appreciation to immediate past-presidents Mary-Lou Press FNAEA and Megan Eighteen FARLA FNAEA whose terms concluded at the AGM. Both have dedicated their time and expertise to driving the organisation forward on behalf of members.
Member voices shape Propertymark’s direction
Michael Sears NAVA, MARLA, MNAEA (Comm), FNAEA, has been re-elected as NAEA Propertymark Board Director.
The Propertymark Board is responsible for agreeing the organisation’s strategic direction, purpose and culture, setting priorities, and safeguarding its long-term sustainability. The Board is mainly made up of working practitioners, helping ensure decisions are informed by the day-to-day realities facing agents.
Board Directors play an important role in guiding Propertymark as the sector responds to major change, including reform of the private rented sector, home buying and selling reform, growing compliance pressures, and the continued need to raise professional standards.
Propertymark Board
Propertymark's Board is made up of industry leaders from a range of backgrounds who regularly come together throughout the year to agree on the strategic direction for the organisation.
Vice-Presidents begin three-year leadership pathway
Craig Webster MNAEA, MNAVA, MARLA, has been elected as Vice-President of the sales division, and Michelle Masiglat-Cook FARLA has been elected as Vice-President of the lettings division.
They will now join the Presidential Teams, acting as ambassadors for the profession, supporting high standards, representing members’ views, and working closely with Propertymark to share insight from across the industry.
The role is also the first step in a three-year leadership pathway. Vice-Presidents move into the President Elect role in their second year before becoming President in the third year of their term. As Presidents, they chair their divisional Advisory Panels and Regional Executive meetings, attend Propertymark Board meetings, and act as high-profile ambassadors for Propertymark and its members.
Advisory Panels and Regional Executives
Each Propertymark membership division is supported by an advisory committee, bringing together industry experts from across the UK to reflect a broad range of experience and perspectives. Our industry representatives come together regularly throughout the year to help shape direction, policy and voice members’ views from their region.
Representing members through change
The elections come at a significant time for property agents, with major legislative, regulatory and market changes affecting businesses across the UK.
For letting agents, reforms linked to the Renters’ Rights Act continue to reshape compliance, tenancy management and landlord responsibilities. Sales agents are also preparing for changes to the home buying and selling process, including greater focus on upfront information, digital systems and improving the speed and certainty of transactions.
Against this backdrop, member representation remains central to Propertymark’s work. Each membership division is supported by an advisory panel, bringing together professionals from across the UK to reflect a broad range of experience and views.
These representatives help shape policy, feed in member insight, and ensure Propertymark continues to speak with authority on behalf of the profession.
